Anna is a program associate for the National Civic League, supporting the Healthy Democracy Ecosystem project, and our partners at ActiVote. Anna brings her experience as a public policy professional specializing in democratic innovation, urban governance, and civic engagement. She has extensive experience working with municipal governments, nonprofits, and research institutions to design and implement participatory policymaking initiatives.
She played a key role in the charter review processes of Cambridge and Somerville, MA, helping modernize outdated governance documents and establish new frameworks for community participation. Her work focuses on charter reform, multi-stakeholder engagement, and strategies to strengthen public trust and involvement in local decision-making.
At the Edward J. Collins Center for Public Management, she has supported municipalities on governance reform and public engagement projects. She has also worked with the Local Policy Lab to develop tools that strengthen local democracy, alongside earlier roles in government, political campaigns, and civic technology startups.
She holds an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.S. in Food Studies and Public Policy from Syracuse University.
