El Paso has implemented several strategies for educating people about the importance of vaccination and combatting misinformation. Having a variety of messengers also proved essential. We tasked local elected officials, subject-matter experts, celebrities, and sports stars with delivering specific messages to the communities in which they have influence through press briefings, commercials, interviews, and one-on-one interactions.
