The Art of Community

More about Englewood

Englewood is a tight-knit community with a small-city atmosphere, yet it has all of the benefits associated with the larger metropolitan area nearby. The city is served by light rail and bus transit systems linking the community to downtown Denver and other locations, including Denver International Airport. Englewood’s location, access to transit and transportation corridors and relative affordability has made it the focus of investment and new development.

Connecting Neighbors During a Global Pandemic
We all want to feel like we’re part of something bigger than ourselves, to have a place we call home that connects us to the community and the people around us. This was never more important than during the pandemic. That’s the goal of the city’s new Neighborhood Resource Program, centered on creating neighborhood groups that bring neighbors together to create a sense of belonging to each other, the neighborhood and the community of Englewood.

Diversity and Inclusion in Englewood. Our City Commitment to Advancing Racial Equity
Over the past several years, cities across the United States began to implement diversity and inclusion programs designed to meet goals including a diverse workforce and ensuring outreach occurs in all corners of the community.

The city created a Diversity and Inclusion task force to ensure that different viewpoints, opinions, and thoughts are being recognized. The Diversity and Inclusion task force task proposes multiple projects, ranging from a book club to cross walks with diversity themes, that will be implemented over fiscal year 2021.
