AAC Workshop Spotlights: Local Efforts to Achieve Racial Equity and Build Resilience

The 2021 All-America City Award’s theme is “Building Equitable and Resilient Communities.” As such, the 2021 virtual event will feature pre-recorded workshops and live roundtables where attendees can learn about national  programs that help communities  improve equity and resilience, as well as hear about local efforts, achievements and difficulties.

Local Efforts to Achieve Racial Equity

This pre-recorded workshop, available to all AAC attendees, will focus on United Way’s  Equity Framework, as well as examples of racial equity efforts in Racine, WI and Spokane, WA.

This virtual workshop will focus on the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Cities and Communities program, as well as two communities working towards more resilient and sustainable futures.
