beautiful cinematography and heart-warming success story! Can’t wait to meet up and share stories in Kansas City!
Acworth is the best! I love living here; the Special Needs Field is truly a highlight in our history and has brought such joy and energy to our city.
There’s no place like home! Acworth takes care of citizens and schools. What a great history! Good luck Acworth!
Acworth is the best! I’ve lived here over 40 years and wouldn’t move anywhere else. The growth has been amazing, but the “small town” spirit remains.
The Horizon Special Needs field shows what a GREAT community Acworth is! It was a TRUE community effort from the ground up – with fundraising, volunteers, etc. who all came together to make this dream come true for special needs kids.
Acworth is truly an All American Town in my book! 🙂
Acworth GA is a small town with a BIG heart…..home to some of the most wonderful people in the world.
Acworth is great family place, great place to live, close enough to HotLanta (Atlanta), for big city life activities, yet far enough away for living away from the big city and be able to have small city environment…continues to grow enough to keep up with what’s important in world today and not loose the spirit of small town values…great college closeby and technical college…all the shopping and eating spots close by also and great churches…
Acworth, Georgia. A lovely town who care about people.
I am a Neighboor of Acworth in Woodstock, but what a heart warming story and beautiful town that takes care of the needs of the community.
Awesome. God Bless
The town of Acworth has taken care of our Special Needs Children. They offer many events for our kids to keep them busy during the year. We love our new field which we can play many other activities.
My hat off to the great City of Acworth.

I am proud to say that I grew up in Acworth Georgia and consider it the best “All American Town” !!
A town that people still care and share…
Acworth Horizon Special Needs project has brought a community together. Special needs children and volunteers alike are one family. Acworth is a special place for special people.
I applaud the city leaders who had the heart and foresight to focus on the community. This is not just lip-service. The leaders have worked hard to instill a small-town mindset in all that serve. The Police Department walks for 24 hours, “Covering the Bases” every year to support the Horizon Field. The community has embraced the field and has learned that everyone has something to contribute.
None that come to the field walk away unchanged.
Acworth is a wonderful place to live and have my business. It truely is a Norman Rockwell small town where every one knows your name.
I have lived in Acworth for over 14 years now. The City of Acworth takes pridei n its residents. Many programs come together to take care of its own, aside from the special needs kids, the town also comes together to offer holiday shopping to children that come from financially disadvantaged homes, back to school programs. feed the hungry, it is an amazing town. The Mayor has come to the schools that my children attend on many occasions along with the police department to promote drug and alcohol awareness. This is a great city to live in and one I am proud to call home. Good luck Mayor Allegood, you have done an amazing job bringing the community together!

I live in the heart of Acworth and it is a special place. Our neighborhood is friendly without the “nosey neighbor syndrome”. Traffic has gotten much heavier since 1984 when I moved here.
I have autistic twins that are on one of the Horizon League teams. This is an amazing program. My kids love playing. I saw one kid in a wheel chair batting from a laying flat on his back position at the plate. It brought me to tears. This league means a lot to us and our community. Thank you to all of the coaches, sponsors, and volunteers. A special thanks also to Lauren Ham. You are the face of Jesus to many.
What a wonderful town. And, such great places to eat and feed our special kids. When I retire I hope we can live there.
The people of Acworth are truly heros. It is such a wonderful place to live.
Acworth is a community with TRUE diversity! It is a town in which people from very different walks of life live right next door to each other without any pretention or fanfare.
I have been in Acworth, GA for pass 5 years. I love the small hometown feel so we build a new home 3 years ago. Hidden jewel 30 miles from the big ATL. Quite place to raise kids.
Acworth is the greatest!
Loved Acworth when I lived there for about 4 years. Friendly people
